Wedding Videographer (Training & Growth Position)

We’re looking for a Wedding Videographer to join our growing team at DJ Topedo & Company. This is a paid, hands-on role designed for someone who wants to grow their skills in wedding filmmaking while working alongside an experienced, high-energy team.

This position is ideal for someone who wants consistent wedding experience, structured training, and long-term growth in the wedding industry.

Position Overview

As a Wedding Videographer with DJ Topedo & Company, you’ll assist in capturing wedding days with professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail. You’ll work under the guidance of our lead team to ensure every couple receives a high-quality film experience that matches our brand standards.

This is a part-time, event-based role with opportunities for increased responsibility as your skills grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in filming weddings and related events with the DJ Topedo & Company team

  • Follow company standards for composition, storytelling, and client experience

  • Work within the wedding day timeline and coordinate with other vendors

  • Handle and care for camera and video equipment responsibly

  • Deliver footage in the required format and timeframe after events

  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive presence at all events

  • Respect client preferences and ensure a smooth, stress-free experience

  • Follow company policies regarding branding and event conduct (no personal promotion during events)

Training & Growth

We invest in developing our team. This role includes:

  • Paid in-person wedding training

  • On-the-job mentorship during live events

  • Opportunities to grow into lead videographer roles over time

  • Skill development in filming, storytelling, and wedding flow

Compensation

  • Lead Videographer Rate: $50/hour (wedding events)

  • Assistant Videographer Rate: $25/hour

  • Training Sessions: $25/hour

  • Editing Work: Paid separately (rate determined per project based on scope and experience)

Payments are processed through payroll within one week after each event.

Travel compensation may be provided when applicable and agreed upon in advance.

Equipment

  • Company equipment may be provided for events as needed

  • Personal equipment must be approved before use

  • All gear must be handled responsibly and reported immediately if damaged or malfunctioning

Professional Expectations

  • Maintain a polished, wedding-appropriate appearance

  • Be punctual, reliable, and prepared for each event

  • Follow all company systems, workflows, and communication standards

  • Represent DJ Topedo & Company professionally at all times

  • Do not promote personal videography services or distribute personal marketing materials during events

Ownership & Confidentiality

  • All footage captured during events is the exclusive property of DJ Topedo & Company

  • Videographers may not use, edit, or distribute footage without written permission

  • Client information, pricing, and business operations must remain confidential

  • These terms remain in effect during and after employment

Exclusivity

While working with DJ Topedo & Company, videographers agree to provide wedding videography services exclusively through the company and may not operate competing services during their engagement.

Schedule & Commitment

This is a part-time position based on wedding bookings. Work is primarily weekends, with occasional weekday training, meetings, or editing assignments.

Termination Policy

Either party may end this agreement with written notice.

Due to the nature of wedding events, if the videographer chooses to leave the company, they are expected to complete any assigned weddings for up to 6 months after notice, unless otherwise agreed.

Immediate termination may occur for breach of contract, misconduct, or failure to meet performance standards.

Non-Compete & Non-Solicitation

For a period of one (1) year after leaving the company, the videographer agrees not to:

  • Solicit DJ Topedo & Company clients, staff, or contractors

  • Encourage clients or team members to leave the company

  • Provide similar wedding videography services within a 50-mile radius of Severn, Maryland

Violation of this agreement may result in legal action.

Employment Classification

This is a part-time employee position subject to applicable labor laws, payroll taxes, and company policies.

Location

Based in Severn, Maryland, serving weddings throughout Maryland and surrounding regions.
