Wedding Video Editor (Project-Based / Hourly Role)

We’re looking for a skilled Wedding Video Editor to join our creative team at DJ Topedo & Company. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in storytelling, can follow direction closely, and is confident working in a fast-paced, feedback-driven environment.

Our editors play a key role in turning wedding footage into high-quality, emotional films that reflect our brand and deliver an unforgettable experience for our couples.

Position Overview

This is a flexible, project-based or hourly editing position. Work is assigned based on wedding volume and production needs.

You’ll be responsible for editing wedding films and related content using provided footage, notes, and creative direction from our team.

Compensation

  • Project-Based Pay (varies depending on scope of edit)
    OR

  • Hourly Rate: $25/hour

Pay structure will be determined based on experience, consistency, and workload preference.

Required Skills & Tools

  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (required)

  • Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and emotional editing

  • Ability to follow structured instructions and creative direction

  • Comfortable receiving feedback and making revisions

  • Ability to manage deadlines and work independently

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit wedding highlight films, social content, and related video deliverables

  • Follow company editing guidelines, templates, and style direction

  • Organize and manage raw footage efficiently

  • Deliver clean, polished, and emotionally engaging final products

  • Implement revisions as part of the normal editing process

  • Maintain consistency with DJ Topedo & Company’s brand style and quality standards

  • Communicate clearly regarding progress, questions, or timeline concerns

All edits must meet a high production standard. This includes:

  • Clean storytelling and emotional flow

  • Proper audio syncing and music selection

  • Consistent color and visual tone

  • Attention to pacing and client experience

  • Professional-level final delivery ready for clients

Equipment & Software

  • Must have access to Adobe Premiere Pro

  • Must have a reliable computer capable of handling video editing projects

  • Company storage and delivery systems will be used for file transfer

Communication & Workflow

  • Editors will receive clear instructions, notes, and expectations per project

  • Feedback and revisions will be provided as part of the normal workflow

  • Timely communication is required for questions, updates, or delays
