DJ Groove is one of DJ Topedo & Company’s experienced pro DJs — and for good reason. With over 100 weddings performed, Shawn has built a reputation for creating fun, engaging, and truly memorable celebrations. While he regularly serves couples throughout the Maryland region, he has also traveled nationwide to perform at weddings.
Known for his open-format mixing style and expansive music knowledge, DJ Groove keeps dance floors packed with the perfect blend of music for every crowd. From EDM to oldies, jazz to pop, rock to hip-hop, and everything in between, Shawn’s genre-spanning repertoire allows him to craft the perfect soundtrack for every moment of your celebration.
Beyond his technical skills as a DJ, Shawn is also a confident and polished MC who helps keep your event running smoothly and on schedule. He brings energy to the room, makes important announcements with professionalism, and ensures guests feel comfortable and excited throughout the night.

“DJ Groove is so professional and makes everything so easy! Our ceremony was held in an outdoor venue without electricity, and his set up was battery powered and able to be “off the grid”. DJ Topedo & Co is special when it also comes to lighting & they made it so beautiful with all the elegant lighting. The team set us up with uplighting and intelligent lighting for our reception and that really helped transform the space. DJ Groove does a great job of getting to know the couple, and really making the reception reflect them. Neither of us are huge dancers, and a lot of the music we like isn’t really music for dancing at a wedding. He did a great job of getting an idea of our music taste and reading the crowed & he played what our guests needed. We got lots of comments from our guests about how great the music was that night!”
